Radiator Replacement

  1. Remove the right side splash shield.

  1. Disconnect the fan motor connectors (A), the hood latch switch connector (B), and the horn connector (C), then remove the ground cable (D) and the harness clamps (E).

  1. Remove the bulkhead mounting bolts, and remove the hood opener cable clamp (A), then remove the bulkhead (B).
  1. Raise the vehicle on the lift to full height.

  1. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor 2 connector (A), and remove the A/C compressor clutch connector (B) from the clamp.
  1. Remove the harness clamps (C).

  1. Disconnect the lower radiator hose (A).
  1. With A/T model: Remove the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) cooler hoses (B), then plug the hose and line.
  1. Lower the vehicle on the lift.

  1. Remove the upper radiator hose.

  1. Pull up the radiator (A), then remove the coolant reservoir (B), the radiator fan shroud assembly (C), the A/C condenser fan shroud assembly (D), the radiator cap (E), the ETC sensor 2 (F), and the drain plug (G).
  1. Reassemble the radiator with new O-rings (H).
  1. Install the radiator. Make sure the lower cushions (I) are set securely.

  1. Install the upper radiator hose.
  1. Raise the vehicle on the lift to full height.

  1. Install the lower radiator hose (A).
  1. With A/T model: Install the ATF cooler hoses (B).

  1. Connect the ECT sensor 2 connector (A), and install the A/C compressor clutch connector (B) to the clamp.
  1. Install the harness clamps (C).
  1. Lower the vehicle on the lift.

  1. Install the hood opener cable clamp (A), then install the bulkhead (B).
  1. Apply body paint to the bulkhead mounting bolts.

  1. Connect the fan motor connectors (A), the hood latch switch connector (B), and the horn connector (C), then install the ground cable (D) and the harness clamps (E).

  1. Install the right side splash shield.
  1. Clean up any spilled engine coolant.
